Microsoft really needs to add the camera option to OneNote 2016. I have been asking for it for years, not that I am an important user to them, and they always reply with some lame excuse. I prefer using the desktop version because it has more features, but at some point when I find a good replacement for it, I will send OneNote to the curb. What irks me the most is that I deal with lots of STEM students all the time, and I always steer them towards a Surface loaded with OneNote to get organized and I am not feeling that compelled to do that anymore because the Camera option is not there. If your notebook resides in OneDrive and you’re sharing it to a SharePoint user, Open in Client is not supported. This also goes for within SharePoint, if you’re in a different tenant, you cannot share it with someone in a different tenant. What does this mean for you? If you have your OneNote on OneDrive, you should only share to other OneDrive accounts (ie @hotmail @outlook etc).
